Ever Bloomfield - The Journey In

Getting Here

Ever Lodges - people and place, immersive Australia

Some places are worth the journey. Ever Bloomfield is one of them.

Tucked into the Daintree Coast with no road access, reaching the property is your first encounter with just how remote – and just how remarkable – this part of Australia truly is. The adventure starts before you arrive.

OUR LOCATION

Ever Bloomfield is located on the Tropical North Queensland Coast where the ancient Daintree Rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef – one of the most ecologically extraordinary meeting points on earth. Accessible only by boat or helicopter, the lodge offers guests direct access to two UNESCO World Heritage environments within a single stay.
The lodge is 180 km north of Cairns and 75 km south-east of Cooktown.
If you have any questions about the lodge, please call us on +61 (0)8 8297 5903.

CLIMATE

The Daintree Coast has a climate entirely its own. Learning to read it – the weight of the wet season air, the clarity that follows a tropical downpour, the dry season light that turns everything gold – is part of understanding this place.
— Wet Season (December – April): Most of the annual rainfall falls in these months due to tropical monsoon influences, with February often among the wettest. Please note the lodge has a seasonal closure from 1 February to 15 March yearly.
— Dry Season (May – November): Markedly drier with far fewer rain days.
Humidity mirrors the rainfall pattern, with higher humidity in the wet season and lower, more comfortable humidity in the dry season.

THE JOURNEY IN

The landscape that surrounds Ever Bloomfield is genuinely difficult to comprehend from the ground. From the air, it reveals itself – rainforest tumbling to a coastline that gives way to reef systems stretching further than the eye can follow, the Coral Sea shifting through colours that have no business existing in the same frame. However, you choose to arrive, we’d encourage you to consider the view.
All guests will arrive at the lodge via a short boat ride from Port Bloomfield.
BY AIR
All major Australian airlines offer daily flights to Cairns from most state capital cities.
We will be offering a scheduled round trip service every Tuesday and Friday from Cairns to Mount Louis Station, followed by a short 10-minute drive to Port Bloomfield wharf. On arrival at Cairns Airport, guests will be met and transferred to General Aviation where they can enjoy our lounge until their flight departs.
Private charters (fixed wing and helicopters) can be arranged from Cairns to Mount Louis Station and return. Our team can provide a list of operators who can arrange a quote.
BY ROAD
If self-driving through the region, the lodge can be reached via the Captain Cook Highway/State Route 44, which includes the iconic Bloomfield Track. The route takes approximately 3.5 hours.
